Angel Fire Shovel Race Championships

Angel Fire Resort has announced the return of snow shovel racing to its winter slopes. The competition will be held in Angel Fire, New Mexico on February 6, 2010. The event gives any and all willing participants the opportunity to compete for cash and prizes by blazing down a groomed 1200+ foot snow track at speeds surpassing sixty miles per hour while sitting atop a snow shovel. Children as young as six years of age can participate on the “Lil' Scoops” short track. Over one hundred racers, men and women, riding solo and in teams, are expected to compete.
