Ice Fishing at Eagle Nest Lake
Try something different!
Why not pull out the rod and reel and try ice fishing? Yes, Eagle Nest Lake State Park, only 10 miles from Angel Fire, is open for ice fishing during the winter months, provided Mother Nature gives us solid enough ice. Bundle up and walk out onto the frozen lake on a clear day with your fishing gear and license. Find the perfect spot, drill a large hole through the ice until you see open water. Drop in your hook and enjoy the day.
For those new to the sport, the Eagle Nest Marina offers guide services and rental equipment for ice fishing and you can find the latest “fishing report” at their office.
