Autumn is in the Air in Angel Fire
With the kids back in school and the “snowbirds” of the north heading south for the winter, Angel Fire is still a bustling little town. The leaves have started to change from their brilliant green of the summer to the breath-taking gold of Fall. For the next couple of weeks, we will have a spectacular display of color around town.
Activities are still happening. The golf course is still open and playing 18 holes in this fantastic Indian Summer weather can’t be beat. The Angel Fire Peak Challenge is October 1-3 with a 10K race to the top of the mountain and a cross-country bike challenge on one of the Angel Fire Resort mountain bike courses. On October 9th is the Final Descent, sponsored by Red Bull. This grueling 12-hour mountain bike race, the last of the season, will pit mountain bikers against the Angel Fire mountain.
Later this fall, we will welcome the snow with the Calling all Flakes event on November 13th. Then at Thanksgiving we will have the 13th Annual Holiday Market in Angel Fire, to start the season of shopping on November 26 & 27th.
