Angel Fire moves into Winter fun

2009-12-12  —  The lights are on and we are having fun on the mountain! Yes, Angel Fire has the only ski area in New Mexico with night skiing and tubing and people are taking advantage of the night and the fun.

The early season snows and the excellent grooming by the snow makers and groomers have once again given us great skiing and snowboarding conditions.

We have been planning for you to arrive. Angel Fire Resort has been busy putting together a list of fun and exciting weekends and festivals for the upcoming year.

The newest festival planned for this year is the Powderkeg Mountain Festival, January
22-31, 2010. Ten days of music, skiing, fun and games and radio station remote broadcasts. Make your plans to be a part of this awesome event.

Angel Fire Resort has also just announced that they are returning the Angel Fire Shovel Race Championships during the 43rd Ski Season on February 6, 2010. Get out that snow shovel, wax it up and try your luck in this fast and fun race down the mountain.

Angel Fire will again host Mardi Gras in Angel Fire, February 13-16, 2010. For those Louisiana skiers, we have as much fun as New Orleans, but not in your backyard. We take over the whole mountain and have our own mountain celebration! Bring your beads and costumes and party with us.

Another new event announced recently is slated for March 17, 2010. That is St. Patricks Day, and the event is Shamrocks and Swimsuits. We have not gotten many details for this one yet, but it is purported to be a fun day of skiing and boarding on the slopes and parties throughout the day. Bring your swimsuit and board or skis and have fun on the mountain.

Angel Fire looks forward to being your home away from home so bring the whole family. There a great shopping and dining along with enjoying all the recreation.
